You will receive a payment request by email once your shipment is ready to be cleared. Please note that your shipment will not be released until this invoice is paid. Border Bee will not be responsible for delays, bond or storage fees or other problems arising from late invoice payment.

Parcels should weigh less than 70 kilos with dimensions under a cubic meter. Freight is larger and often stacked on a pallet.

The hand-carried release option is for businesses collecting their goods from a pick-up point in the United States.

Please call UPS to ensure that any COD tags are removed from your parcel and that 'Border Bee' is correctly assigned as your customs broker. You will need to provide them with your Shipment ID #.

Great! UPS should have the parcel re-assigned to us in the next few hours. In the meantime, should the UPS driver arrive with a COD bill still on your package, you must refuse delivery and wait for the next attempt. If you choose to accept the package and pay the COD bill, you will not be charged anything by our service : )*
UPS may also tell you that they have 'already cleared' your package, or that Border Bee 'refused to clear your package'. Both of these statements are false.*
You will receive an e-mail concerning your parcel. You will need to respond to this e-mail to verify to UPS that the message is coming from you.

If you choose to accept the package and pay the COD bill, you will not be charged anything by our service : )

An e-mail will be sent to DHL requesting the clearance of your parcel be re-assigned to Border Bee

For courier parcels, the importer must contact the courier to confirm clearance of their parcel

Unfortunately Border Bee cannot assist with this clearance. For shipments valued at less than $2500 CAD, these imports are cleared automatically by the Canada Post Corporation. You may reach their customer service line here: 1-866-607-6301


For Canada Post orders exceeding $2500 CAD, these shipments require a customs broker a formal release. You will require a letter from the CBSA in order to obtain clearance of your package.

Please contact your courier by telephone to advise them that Border Bee will be acting as your customs broker. We will also require the manifest for your shipment to complete clearance.

Destination

Step 6: Destination Arrangements

Unlike parcels and ground freight, overseas cargo is unlikely to show up at your door--delivery and payment to local agents must be organized at destination.

Delivery*
Delivery for overseas freight is typically not arranged. Please advise Border Bee if you require assistance. Please note that storage fees can accrue as little as 48 hours after arrival.
Terminal and Destination Fees*
These fees are in addition to the cost of transportation (terminals, port fees, examinations, etc) and are your responsibility to pay.
Paying charge: A $20 fee will be applied your invoice total for all payments Border Bee must make on your behalf*
Dock and storage fees reminder*
Border Bee will prepay all your fees, with the exception of those caused by local delivery arrangements
Please remember the following before dispatching your transporter*
In addition to terminal fees, the warehouse holding the goods will often charge a $40 dock fee. They must also be notified in advance which transport company you will be using.
Steamship Release Status*
You must pay your seller in full before taking ownership of your merchandise. Once paid, your vendor will either telex release or courier your original bill of lading. If you are unsure, please check the bill of lading, the release status should be indicated by a stamp stating 'telex release' or 'OBL required.'
